Since she was young, Miss Everett has always wanted to be a teacher! She now has the honor of starting students off on their own educational journeys as a SJR kindergarten teacher. After graduating from Ridley High School and earning a B.S. in Elementary Education from West Chester University, Miss Everett started her career in the Southeast Delco School District in 2012. In 2015, she jumped at a mid-year opening for a kindergarten teacher here at St. James and has been here ever since. Miss Everett is an integral part of the St. James faculty and serves on the school fundraising committee. She recently planned and executed the first ever Pie-Your-Teacher fundraiser!
As a kindergarten teacher, Miss Everett not only prepares her students to enter 1st grade with confidence, but to also have fun while doing it! She is constantly perfecting her craft by learning new techniques and researching activities to keep her students engaged and thriving. She is highly attuned to her students' needs and supports each of them in the best way possible. Miss Everett employs a collaborative approach to each child's education by working as a team with parents, her classroom aide, Mrs. Dooley, and her colleagues.
In her free time, Miss Everett can be found taking courses to earn a post-baccalaureate degree in Special Education and tutoring students after school. At home, her 3 dogs and one cat keep her busy!
