First grade teacher Mrs. Kelli Blithe enters her 13th year of teaching at St. James Regional. She is a dedicated Catholic educator who knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was a young child where she started working as a mother's helper at age 11 and then continuing to develop her passion for working with children as a camp counselor during her high school summers.
Mrs. Blithe is a Delaware County native having graduated from Sun Valley High School and then went on to earn her B.A. from Kutztown University in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.
Mrs. Blithe knows every student enters her classroom as an individual and she works hard to help create goals tailored to each student. She knows that children are like popcorn. . . not every kernel pops at the same time and so she emphasizes careful collaboration with her students' families. Her biggest joy is seeing her students feel the pride associated with achieving their goals.
Mrs. Blithe is the proud mother of two girls, one SJR student and one future Bulldog! Mrs. Blithe is a talented knitter and crocheter and spearheaded the Crafty Bulldog community group at St. James Regional where parents and adult members enjoy dedicated time and space to work on their craft projects. She also loves the color hot pink, the Flyers, and iced cofee, and anything spicy!
