This week we are showing our appreciation for Mrs. Nicole Schemeluk. Mrs. Schemeluk is a Pre-K3/4 teacher here at St. James Regional Catholic School. When describing herself, she used the traits “dedicated, funny and energetic,” which makes her a perfect candidate to spend her days teaching our youngest minds at St. James and preparing them for Kindergarten.
Mrs. Schemeluk has been with St. James for seven years, and has been teaching for ten years overall. She attended Neumann University, where she earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Education/Elementary/Special Education. She holds her own Catholic education in high esteem, and is happy to provide a similar experience to her students.
Mrs. Schemeluk understands how precious these early years in education are for her Pre-K3/4 students and their families, so she approaches each day delicately. She creates a classroom environment that allows students to feel safe and secure where they can learn and explore.
Mrs. Schemeluk herself is the mother to a three year old, Brayden, and enjoys spending much of her free time with him. She also enjoys playing and watching sports, or her favorite television show, Love It or List It.
At St. James, Mrs. Schemeluk loves her supportive colleagues, and, of course, her students.
“The children bring a smile to my face each and every day,” she said.
