Today we are highlighting the hard work of the kindergarten aide here at St. James Regional Catholic School, Mrs. Kathy Scaricaciottoli. Mrs.Scaricaciottoli is dedicated, loving and patient, making her beloved among past and current kindergarten students. She knows these qualities are perfect for starting these youngsters off in their journey through Catholic education.
She has been with St.James since 2012. Prior to that, she worked at St. Madeline-St. Rose, where both her son and daughter attended school. She has also been volunteering here at 500 Tome Street for the last 27 years. Before becoming an aide, Mrs. Scaricaciottoli worked in the medical field. She also previously coached girls basketball and volleyball.
In her free time, Mrs. Scaricaciottoli enjoys spending time with her family. She cannot wait for weekends at the beach this summer, visiting with her family.
She hopes to one day visit Italy. While her husband has traveled there three times, Mrs. Scaricaciottoli has yet to visit due to a dislike for flying. However, she plans to overcome this stance to see the beauty Italy has to offer.
At St. James, Mrs. Scaricaciottoli loves all her students and loves working with Miss Brennan, our kindergarten teacher. She loves seeing the improvements and accomplishments. In particular, when students realize they are capable of doing something they thought they couldn’t, the look of joy on their face is among her favorite and most memorable parts of her job, and reminds her why she loves her job.
She is also fond of her “amazing co-workers.”
“The faculty and staff at St. James Regional is wonderful,” she said. “A close knit community where if you need something, someone is always there for you!”
