Beginning Monday, October 5th, ALL STUDENTS will be expected to be in their
regular uniform. This includes students who are in person or virtual. Please see below for
uniform requirements. If you need to order uniform pieces, click HERE
Uniform Requirements We ask that uniforms be purchased from our SJR School Store. Please refer to our official
school uniform form for specifics. The proceeds from these purchases are used to maintain and improve our school program. Although a local merchant sells similar uniform wear, these
uniforms do not comply with our dress code. Sweatshirts (hooded or not) are no longer
permitted to be worn during the school day in our classrooms. Certainly, they may be worn to
and from school and at outside recess time. Gray sweatpants are no longer part of our
uniform. Our regulation gym sweatshirt may be worn on gym days. Thank you for supporting
our efforts here at SJR.

make the necessary changes. We thank you for supporting us in this very important matter.
HAIR STYLES/GROOMING
A student’s hair is to be kept neat and clean, and well groomed. Extreme styles (including but not limited to hair tattooing, shaved, tipped, streaked, highlighted, dyed, Mohawks or tails) are not permitted. Boys’ hair should be of natural color, not below the ear or covering the eyes and should be of a conservative style. Girl’s hair should be of natural color, not covering the eyes and conservative in style.
JEWELRY
Although jewelry is not a part of the school uniform, post earrings of a small and conservative style are permitted to be worn by the girls (one earring only in each ear). Flat head bands or head bands purchased from St. James Regional Catholic School store are permitted to be worn by the girls. Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. Tattoos, body piercings, bracelets (ankle and wrist), pins, and buttons are not a part of the school uniform. This includes all types of wrist and ankle bands. A small religious medal or cross on a chain is encouraged.
