    St. James Regional mourns the sudden loss of faculty member Mr. Maurice Hamel. Mr. Hamel joined our faculty this year as a 7th grade teacher. Our students and faculty were blessed to have him as part of our community. This Friday's school Mass will be offered in his name. We pray for the repose of Mr. Hamel's soul and for the peace and comfort of his loved ones. Eternal rest grant unto Maurice, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.     Nolen Mea wins VFW Essay Contest

    6th grade student Nolen Mea won first place at the Post level in the VFW’s Patriot’s Pen annual essay contest. He now advances to the District level competition! His essay answered the question “How to be a good a good American?” Each year more than 125,000 students in grades 6-8 enter the VFW’s Patriot’s Pen youth essay contest. We wish Nolen the best of luck at the next level of competition!
